this month Nathanael built me some shelves for our living room wall and got me a free piano for Christmas :) It is way old, but kinda neat and it's a piano!

In mid-November, we put new carpet in our house. I love the picture of 'thanael and pungo testing you the new carpet :)

as a late birthday present, nathanael built me a picnic table (pungo and i helped:))

okay...so i know it has been FOREVER since we have posted anything......for all the impatient ;), you will have to wait til christmas or the day after. hopefully i will get to post something when we are home since my parents have internet...until then you will just have to continue telling me that i need to post something :) hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season!

want a good laugh?

okay so, when we first took Pungo to the vet, they gave us a toothbrush and toothpaste (for the Dog!)...which i laughed at and put away in the closet. Well....Lately i have noticed that his breath is worse than normal and he has a lot of tarter on his bigger teeth, and seeing as how having to clean your dog's teeth as a vet costs a small fortune, i decided to try the tooth brush idea. What a riot! I wish we would have had a video camera...Both nathanael and i were laughing so hard we couldn't talk. 'thananel was trying to open pungo's mouth while i brushed his teeth, but Pungo didn't get the message....he just kept eating the toothpaste off of the toothbrush before i could really even get to his teeth.... eventually we gave up and he still has yucky teeth and bad breath! i think next time we try, we will set up a video first!

the faith of a child

the adorable boy in this picture is our nephew Micah. He called Nathanael on Monday night to tell him that he had accepted Jesus as his saviour :)! and just wanted to call to tell him. It was such a great reminder of God's grace and the excitement at comes with new child-like faith :)

just because

i am hoping that this works......these pictures are just because...becuase they are beautiful and because i figured out how to do this today and i'm excited that i got it to work so i wanted to post some picts. I just love picutres of God's beautiful creation...no man-made elements...breathtaking!

Skyline Drive

This past weekend we made an unexpected, quick trip home and on the way back to VA, we decided to take a little detour to check out Skyline Drive. We have seen signs for it evertime we've driven back, but never had the time to check it out before. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!. We are a little suprised to find out that it cost $15 to drive it (it is part of Shanandoah National Park and the cost is to enter the park), but it was worth every penny! Here are some pictures, although they hardly do it justice. If you ever get the chance to check it out, we highly recommend it, although you will need at least a good 4 hours and that is if you only stop a couple of times, because it is a 105 mile drive...

Nathanael is in the process of building a 6 foot fence around our yard.

home improvements

Here are some pictures from our recent home improvements. Nathanael put in new countertops in the kitchen as well as a new fauset and plumbing and one new wall. The old countertop was dark brown and UGLY and the wall had brick on it. The new countertop and wall make the room look sooooo much brighter and cleaner!
