homeowner busted for late night remodeling

so... in an effort to get our house done, nathanael decided to go over tonight and put in a couple more hours after dinner. he planned to do some clean up in our basement. he called his sister on the way over to the house and was still talking with her when he arrived, so he turned the lights down to just parking lights in his truck and sat there for a while (parked in our side yard) while they finished their conversation. (meanwhile, an over causious neighbor 'mrs. cravets?' reported a suspicious truck sitting in the yard next to our house) in the midst of taking, nathanael noticed headlights shinning his direction from the street. when he looked closer, he saw 5 to 6 police officers coming his way with their flashlights up and their hands on thier weapons. after quickly ending his conversation, he carefully and slowly got out of the truck and asked the officers if he could help them. after seeing ID and nathanael actually using a key to unlock his own house, the officers believed him and proceeded to tell him that here have been some break-ins at some other empty houses in the area. while we appreciate over causious neighbor's concern, we wish that they would pay more atteniton to details......like no more for sale sign in the yard and the same truck having been parked there almost every day for the last two months..........so, we learn from this - if you are ever driving home after dark and you notice that a house in your neighborhood that was for sale three months ago now has a large green truck idleing with its parking lights on in the side yard with an approximately 6 foot tall 200 pound man taking on his cell phone in the drivers seat, you should immediately alert the authorities that said man is obviously trying to steal that copper piping out of the basment.

good story! And I just read your other post. That was the verse I was praying through all year last year! Funny how the Lord places those things on our hearts!
